多治見市陶磁器意匠研究所を卒業した新里と加藤が間人の土を使い共作した窯。神明山古墳の目前に位置する場所で古来の人々は埴輪や器を焼き、窯を囲みながら食事をしただろう。人は食べることで生き、食べることをやめると死が訪れる。生きるとは、人が集い、語らい、食し、学び、働くこと。小さくも料理と小さな焼き物が焼けるこの窯から、この地の土を使った新たな作品が生み出されていく。

Niisato and Kato, graduates of Tajimi City Pottery Design and Technical Center, used clay from Taiza to create this kiln together. The kiln is located in front of Shinmeiyama tumulus, where ancient people would have fired haniwa clay figurines and vessels, and shared meals around the kiln. To live is to gather, talk, eat, learn, and work. In this kiln, which is small but capable of cooking and making small pieces of pottery, new works using the local clay will be created.
